"My Happy Tummy Club" - an answer to sustained nourishment during pregnancy and post-partum!
I am so proud 👏🏻of Marika. After she gave birth, she had a change of heart and career and created an extraordinary Natural Japanese food delivery and nourishment business 🤓👏🏻. She is having her second ⭐️ ⭐️beautiful baby with me, and once I learned about her “my happy tummy club,” I had to learn more, and spread the news. 😇
Q: What motivated you to create your Natural Japanese Food Delivery, “My Happy Tummy Club”?
A: When I was pregnant with my first baby, my body changed and only accepted healthy natural Japanese food like my mother used to cook for me. However it was so difficult to go shopping and cook by myself or look for any delivery service in my neighborhood that served meals that did not bore me to eat every day. To solve my frustration and consider my family’s health, I started My Happy Tummy Club, LLC in 2020, when my daughter was one year old.
Q: You changed careers to feed pregnant and post-partum Moms. Why?
A: The career at that time did not allow me to spend enough time to take my best care of my daughter and our family's healthy eating. I did not want to regret giving up something important in my life. After my daughter was born, my career as an architect was not my first priority but my daughter. I was one of millions of architects/interior designers in NYC but I was the only one mother to my daughter.
Q: What did you learn from your own pregnancy and post-partum periods that contributed to the creation of “My Happy Tummy Club”?
A: I realized there are lots of mothers in NYC that have the same problems, who struggle to feed themself and their family and are looking for solutions that our "My Happy Tummy Club" healthy meal plans can support.
Q: What are your most popular dishes?
A: Nikujaga & beef curry are very popular. This is a beef and potato stew with veggie in sweet soy sauce and mirin base. Lots of Japanese people have nostalgic feelings with their mothers taste.
Q: What if people have food allergies?
A: If the allergen is easy to remove from production timeline, we take them out for the customer. If it’s difficult because of mass produce, we will replace the meal with another meal. The customer can put notes at their payment checkout and we will get back to them
Q: Anything else that you would like to share?
I always hope our meal service helps mothers to reduce their stress and to spend more happy and quality time with their children and families.
